City Museum at Old Treasury Receives Special Grant

City Museum has received a grant through the 2009 Building Better Museums (BBM) program of Museums Australia (Victoria).

The grant has been used to develop a new temporary exhibition space in the historic Old Treasury Gold Vaults. The new exhibition space is one-of-a-kind – its location, in the evocative Gold Vaults, unique to Melbourne. The exhibition program will be dynamic and relevant to City Museum’s vision of being a hub in which to learn more about Melbourne and Melbournians.

The new exhibition space is scheduled to open early December 2009.

For more information, please contact Kate Luciano, Curator, on (03) 9651 1636.
